Lily-Rose Depp Lands Her First Chanel Campaign
While Johnny Depp is a name known world wide, many are not as familiar with his sixteen year old daughter, Lily-Rose. The last time I remember seeing her was at the MTV Movie Awards in 2012, but now an all grown up Lily-Rose was just seen with her mother (Johnny’s ex-girlfriend) Vanessa Paradis at the Chanel Metiers d’Art Collection show in April. From this, it was as if she was instantly scouted by Karl and brought into the Chanel family. One of which her mother has been part of since the early 1990’s.
Just in the past two weeks, she modeled with her mother alongside the likes of Julianne Moore and Kristen Stewart in the Chanel fall-winter 2015/2016 Haute Couture show. now After one week, Lily-Rose Depp has been officially named the new face of Chanel Eyewear!
These few appearances at Chanel events have paid off majorly for Lily-Rose. Granted, she is the daughter of Johnny Depp, therefore providing her with name recognition, and she also has a new movie titled “Yoga Hosers”, premiering later this year, where she stars alongside her father. However, it is not all family power that has gotten her were she is, Depp also has the looks to prove it, as she is the perfect hybrid of beauty with her mother’s cheek bones and her father’s eyes. Even Karl seems to think so when he proclaimed, “Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star”.
Although it may seem as though she appeared out of nowhere to some of us, I believe this is the first of many campaigns to come. Once Karl taps a celebrity, they seem to stay along for the ride. We can’t wait to see what her next campaign will be!
