NYFW DAY 4 // TEDDY COAT
NYFW day 4 was probably my favorite day regarding my outfit! The shows, however, left me a little disappointed.
For day 4 of NYFW, I wanted to wear something fun with a little bit of edge. You all know I like to mix my fashions, so I paired a basic tee, ripped jeans, black boots, and a fisherman’s hat with this fabulous teddy bear coat (similar here) I got from my friend Amy of Fashion Jackson.
I saw Amy wearing this coat when she was in Telluride and left a comment on her Instagram about how much I adored it. A few weeks later, miss Amy surprised me when she sent me the coat in the mail! I have not taken it off since. Seriously, I wear it to work almost every day. It was a no-brainer I wear the coat during fashion week as teddy bear coats are all the rage at the moment, plus it elevated my rockin’ look.
Not only are teddy bear coats on trend, but so are fisherman’s hats. I have been seeing them everywhere. Typically I am not a hat person, but I pushed myself to buy it, and I love it. They add an extra element of fun.
All the fun with my outfit aside, the shows were not so great. In the morning, I was on my way to the Romeo Hunte show at the Standard Hotel.
Long story short, I got in there and they over invited, and we were crammed into a small hallway with little air trying to get a seat. I got very nervous and ended up leaving as it was disorganized. Later, I saw the clothing online and hated the fact I couldn’t see it myself. I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
I also went to the Philipp Plein store opening on Mercer St. in SoHo. Again, not much to write home about. The store and the items were terrific, but the event was boring as people were just on their phones waiting for Migos to show and make an in-store appearance.
I understand the hype around celebrity culture, but I came to support the vibe of the store, not some rap group used to make something seem more significant.
The shows and presentations were a flop, but luckily I had a fun outfit for the day and had a blast with my Denver bloggers that were visiting!
Shoutout to my friend Carolina (Chictalk.com) for these photos!
I hope you all have been enjoying my updates on my fashion week adventures I experienced at the beginning of this month and thanks for following along.
Have a great rest of the week!
