Snow Day Fun
I hope you have had an eventful week/weekend, I know I did.
This past week I ventured to Vail and Beaver Creek with my family for a little snowboarding fun. I also thought that I would do an outfit post, however my face got beat up (I’ll explain).
We got up to Vail on Wednesday morning, so we had enough time to get some runs in. It was nice to get back into snowboarding, as I haven’t had time this past year. The weather was perfect, as it was sunny and the temperature was not too cold. By the second day, I had gotten back into my groove. About halfway down the mountain I hit ice. I ended up flipping and rolling over my neck, hitting my nose, and hurting my back. I got up and realized that my lips were twice the size and my nose was swollen and bloody.
After this disaster, I went to the doctor and they said I received a minor concussion. Thank goodness I was wearing a helmet, otherwise I could have really done some damage. My snow day was ruined. 🙁
So, as I was saying, I was going to do an outfit post, but my face was beat up. However, there is a silver lining, I took some beautiful mountain photos that I want to share with you all.
We stayed at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. This was the view from our back patio.
Of course we had to stop and look at the deer. I don’t miss opportunities like this. Look at the one on the right, she is so photogenic.
This has to be one of my favorite photos I have taken. This shot was taken on the way up Beaver Creek Mountain.
As we were leaving, we passed my favorite building. This yellow castle is the Ritz Carlton residences in Vail. I still have yet to stay here, but I will!
I hope you enjoyed this post. I’m sorry there wasn’t an outfit, however, I think these photos are pretty good too.
Have a great week.
