Stripes On Stripes // NYFW DAY 1
What a whirlwind of a trip to NYFW! As many of you already know, I try to attend New York Fashion Week regularly now ever since my first time last year in September. This season I had the privilege to participate in the most shows I have ever gone to before.
I plan on sharing more about my favorite shows throughout the next couple of weeks, but today I wanted to share what I wore the first day of shows!
Stripes are commonplace in my wardrobe. I have more stripe shirts than I’d like to admit. However, I can’t get enough of how cute they are. I get French vibes from stripes, and I strive to dress as effortlessly as the French do. That being said, for this NYFW look, I took a bold move and paired stripes on stripes. Not only that, but I wore horizontal and vertical stripes together.
This look worked because I had differentiation within the stripes. It’s essential when sporting this look that the lines have some variation regarding color and width.
The best part about this look is that both the top and pants together are under $100! The top I purchased from target and pants I bought from ASOS. I threw a tan suede sneaker with the look to make it casual, but chic. The sneakers, on the other hand, are a bit pricey but well worth the investment. I plan on wearing them all throughout Fall and into Winter.
I hope you all enjoyed this look and stay tuned for the rest of my fashion week adventures. Let’s just say this is a little taste of the exciting adventures I went on!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Jack
